[link]sadly this applies for americans only. since you need all that information and hoohaw to sign the petition.
but Pandora.com is a damned swell site. one internet radio where, if you didn't already know, you write in an artist name/song that you enjoy and Pandora finds you specifically similar artists/songs. and this doesn't just search for the same genre. but tonal similarities. so non classified music and specific good songs can be entered and found.
in short it's a damned good place for all music nerds.
not that it always hits the mark, but it's still the best one out there.
so here's the thing (for those who didn't want to click the link).
license fees are going up ridiculously high. several times above regular radio stations license fees. so flip them off proper and sign that petition and support the continuous existence of any and all Net radio stations. again, this applies only to american residents. which I am not.
" The new royalty rates are irrationally high, more than four times what satellite radio pays and broadcast radio doesn't pay these at all. Left unchanged, these new royalties will kill every Internet radio site, including Pandora."
They're doing this shit all over the place.
